Villa Playa is truly unique. Fully renovated throughout in 2026, it is one of the few large beachfront villas available to rent on the Costa del Sol. The villa accommodates up to 12 guests in six bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

Located in Calahonda, between Fuengirola and Marbella, Villa Playa genuinely sits on the seafront. It looks directly across the beach and Mediterranean Sea, with access from the garden to the beach and the seven-kilometre coastal boardwalk.

The space
Villa Playa offers six comfortable bedrooms arranged across three floors, all with private en-suite bathrooms. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor, one is on the first floor and two are on the second floor, making the villa particularly suitable for larger families and groups travelling together.

The entire property was renovated in 2026, including a new kitchen, bathrooms, furnishings and living spaces. Its generous accommodation is complemented by exceptional outdoor space and uninterrupted proximity to the Mediterranean.

Villa Playa forms part of a small beachfront community originally built in the 1970s. At that time, undeveloped land was still available directly beside the beach, allowing the original owners to create unusually spacious communal gardens and a swimming pool in front of their homes, where they could enjoy the sea views and cooling Mediterranean breeze.

Many of the original families retained their homes for decades, giving the community a warm and established character. During your stay, you can enjoy the gardens, swimming pool and beachfront setting that have made this such a special place for generations.

Beach access and gardens
A gate at the front of the communal gardens leads directly to the beach and coastal boardwalk by both steps and a ramp. There are no roads to cross.

Villa Playa has its own private outdoor dining and barbecue area, with seating for 12 beneath an electrically operated bioclimatic pergola. Its adjustable louvred roof provides shade and shelter while allowing guests to enjoy the sea air and views. The area also includes a drinks refrigerator and outdoor plates, glasses and cutlery.

Beyond the villa’s private terrace are the spacious, beautifully maintained communal gardens. Villa Playa guests have exclusive use of 12 sun loungers, with permanent thatched parasols providing shade.

The renovated communal swimming pool uses a saltwater treatment system. Guests can also use the villa’s volleyball equipment on the large, level lawn overlooking the beach.

Your hosts
Villa Playa is managed by Costa Homecare, a small local property-management team based on the Costa del Sol. They will be available during your stay should you need any assistance.

House Rules
As it is a small community there are no rules as such, we only ask you to use your common sense, like don’t bring drinks glasses or beer bottles around the pool – we provide plastic glasses. Also, as the garden gets watered at night please remove all sunbeds from grass area and collect all your towels and toys.
